***UPDATE: The correct time for the Community Cares Night is 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.*** Mark your calendar for Thursday, June 27, from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m., and join Mayor Kristie Melendez for the Community Cares event at Boardwalk Park. Community Cares is a new event that aims to shed light on mental health, overall well-being and the availability of local resources.
Open to all ages, this FREE community event boasts games and activities, displays and information, a ropes course, and face painting.
"We don't want to wait until someone to slip through the cracks. We want to help folks make the connection to resources and feel welcome in their community," says Melendez. "If you care about Windsor and your neighbors, you'll be there."
There are opportunities to sponsor or volunteer at the event. If you are interested in details, please contact Lexi Spykstra at 970-674-3510.
This event is sponsored by North Range Behavioral Health, Great Western Railway, and the Town of Windsor.
