Temporary Detour on the Poudre Trail

TRAIL CLOSURE ALERT: Thursday night’s rain damaged the new Poudre River Trail alignment to the west of Treasure Island Demonstration Garden. The new section is temporarily closed. Ped/bike traffic is being diverted to the original soft path detour.

Completion of Larimer County Road 5 construction has been delayed. Construction is still underway with additional asphalt work and roadway striping scheduled to take place over the next week. Weather permitting, the partial reopening date is now set for July 9.  Upon the partial reopening, work zone speeds will remain in place and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic. Drivers are still encouraged to continue using alternate routes until the full road reopening.
