The Windsor Town Board announced the appointment of Shane Hale as Town Manager. Town Board voted unanimously to approve his contract at its regular meeting Monday, March 26.
Hale is the City Manager of Cortez, CO a position he has held for over six years. He previously served as the Town Manager of Grand Lake, CO and has worked for the Town of Poncha Springs, CO.
“The Town of Windsor is extremely lucky to have someone of Shane Hale’s professional abilities and talents to be our new Town Manager,” said Mayor Kristie Melendez. “I look forward to working with Mr. Hale as we plan for Windsor’s future.”
Hale carries a master’s degree in political science with an emphasis in public policy administration from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Southern Colorado.
Hale said, "I am humbled and honored to be selected as the Windsor Town Manager. There are so many positive things going for Windsor, and I’m happy to come aboard at a critical time when the community is in a place of growth and transition. I thank the Mayor, Town Board, and the community for this great vote of confidence, and can’t wait to call Windsor home."
Hale was selected from a field of over 60 applicants for the position. The Windsor Town Board wishes to thank the community for participating in the Town Manager Finalists Meet and Greet. Hale will begin his duties on June 4, 2018.
