The Windsor Police Department made three arrests on October 1 in conjunction with a string of construction site thefts across the region.
As a result of a victim’s report, the Windsor Police Department was able to trace stolen items to a location in southern Weld County. In partnership with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, Windsor Police executed a search warrant at the site, recovering property stolen from locations along the Front Range, as well as illegal drugs and firearms.
“Windsor Police acted quickly on the information from the victim, in order to locate and recover the stolen construction equipment,” said Windsor Police Lieutenant Richard Zeigler. “We’re proud of how our team pulled together to take out this illegal operation.”
The following individuals were arrested, charged, and booked at the Weld County Jail:
Windsor Police will continue to investigate to identify the location of other stolen property and victims of construction equipment thefts.
The department asks that the public — especially construction-related businesses — keep an inventory of tools, including make, model, and serial numbers, whenever possible. This information is crucial in returning stolen property to the rightful owner.
