The Town of Windsor will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house to celebrate the grand opening of the new Public Works Service Facility from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23.

Remarks by local dignitaries will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony and an open house with tours and appetizers.

The new complex is located at 922 N. 15th Street, and is home to six buildings, including an administrative office building, fleet service, heated equipment storage, and two covered storage buildings. The complex also incorporates several sustainable features, including an electric vehicle charging station and solar panels.

Home to the Public Works Division — including Fleet Management, Stormwater, Streets and Water/Sewer — the facility occupies 10 out of 24 total acres, providing the division an opportunity to expand with the growing town and its needs in the future.

The $13-million facility was completed on time and on budget, without incurring debt. Additionally, the town received a $1.5-million Colorado Department of Local Affairs Energy/Mineral Impact Assistance Fund grant and a Charge Ahead EV Charging Station grant to help support the project.

For more information, contact Kelly Houghteling, assistant to the town manager, at 970-674-2400.

RSVP online by Monday, Oct. 23.
