The Town of Windsor and Poudre Valley REA will hold a kickoff event to mark the installation of the first light-emitting diode (LED) streetlight at 3:00 pm on August 21, 2015 at Aberdour Park, 6529 Aberdour Circle. There will be a brief presentation followed by the installation of an LED streetlight. Elected officials and members of the public are invited to attend.
This event is part of a larger effort to convert 552 existing high pressure sodium streetlights to energy efficient LED streetlights. The more energy-efficient LED streetlights will provide the Town with energy savings for many years, as well as an improved light quality.
