Town of Windsor Facility Closures in Observance of Labor Day

WINDSOR, Colo. — Town of Windsor facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 4 in observance of Labor Day. Facilities closed include Town Hall, 301 Walnut St., the Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St., and the Public Services Campus, 922 N. 15th St. Normal operating hours for these facilities will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The police administrative office, 200 11th St., will also be closed Sept. 4, but officers will remain on duty. Non-emergency police services can be reached at 970-674-6400. In the event of an emergency, call 911.

Chimney Park Pool, 421 Chimney Park Dr., will close for the season at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2. The last day to enjoy the Windsor History Museum, 100 N. 5th St., and tube rentals at the Eastman Park River Experience, 7025 Eastman Park Dr., will be Sunday, Sept. 3 and Sunday, Sept. 10, respectively.

The 101st Windsor Harvest Festival takes place Labor Day weekend and offers three days of family fun including fireworks, events, music, games, food and more. Additionally, the Windsor Harvest Festival Parade, which takes place at 9 a.m., Monday, Sept. 4, will travel along a new route through downtown Windsor. The parade will begin at 1st St., traveling west on Walnut St. to 3rd St., then up to Main St. before heading west to the Windsor High School administrative parking lot.

As a result of the new parade route, Main St./CO 392 will be closed from 11th St. to CO 257 from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Motorists planning to travel in or around the affected areas will need to use alternate routes and vehicles parked along the parade route will need to be relocated during the closure. Detour signage will be placed along alternate routes ahead of the closure.
