WINDSOR, Colo. — On Saturday, Sept. 30, the Town of Windsor, in conjunction with staff from both Larimer and Weld Counties and the American Red Cross, will host a community emergency preparedness workshop, How to Prepare for Everything.
The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Windsor Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St., and is free to attend, though space is limited; RSVPs are required. The workshop is for Windsor residents only.
The workshop will help residents plan for emergency situations with their neighbors and local emergency management officials. Attendees will learn how to create their own simple, step-by-step plans to prepare for any emergency, accident, or natural disaster.
Those interested in attending the event can sign up using the event's registration form. Registration closes Monday, Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. Every participant will receive a free first aid kit and the first 80 people to register will receive a free solar/hand-powered weather radio and power bank. Refreshments will also be provided.
