The Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) recently announced its 2022 Board of Directors, chaired by the Town of Windsor's Economic Development Director Stacy Miller. Established in 1976, the EDCC is a state-wide, non-profit organization that represents the interests of public and private sectors while promoting effective, responsible economic development and advocating for sound policies and programs across Colorado.

The EDCC Board of Directors epitomize the collective acumen of Colorado’s economic development profession and industry. The board is comprised of members and officers who represent Colorado communities, state agency and private sector economic development stakeholders, including members from five state regions, five discretionary members, five executive members and five ex-officio members. Their purpose is to provide oversight, governance, direction, advice, and to assist in leadership and awareness of EDCC’s mission.

“I am honored to be chosen to lead this organization and its exceptional board members and staff,” Miller said.

Miller was hired to develop and lead the Town of Windsor’s Economic Development Department in 2011. As director, Miller has brought over $600 million in business investment to the town equating to more than 2,600 jobs generating an annual payroll of over $154 million.

Prior to working for the Town of Windsor, she worked for the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation (NCEDC) and prior to that, the City of Lakewood Economic Development Department. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Public Relations and Advertising Media from the University of Northern Colorado and is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.

In addition to being chosen to lead the EDCC, Miller’s accolades include being named a BizWest 40 under 40 honoree, a 2014 Woman of Vision from the Colorado Women of Influence, and a 2021 BizWest Women of Distinction honoree in the Government, Energy & Utilities sector. Miller is a past president of the Northern Colorado group Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW) and currently sits on the Front Range Community College Business Advisory Board, and the Columbine Health Systems Advisory Board.

“With my career and experience, I will help guide the organizational goals and we will continue to advance and support numerous types of business professionals and communities across the entire state,” Miller stated.
