Temporary COVID-19 Test Location Comes to Windsor

CORRECTION: The tests that will be administered at the temporary site in the CRC back parking lot are not going to be rapid tests. They will be a PCR nasal swab test that can take 24-48 hours for final results. The original release incorrectly stated that the test would be a rapid test. 

FOR RELEASE: Beginning this Saturday, November 13, the north parking lot of the Windsor Community Recreation Center will become a temporary and free COVID-19 test location. Testing will be available on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be closed on Saturday, November 20, but it will reopen on Saturday, November 27.

On days that the site is open, there are two ways to participate and insurance is not required. Participants can reduce their test wait time by pre-registering at or they can register on site which may extend their wait. The free mobile COVID-19 test site is provided in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Health and Environment and Affinity eCare. This is the second time the state has chosen a mobile test location in Windsor. The first was held at Eastman Park last December.
