Fatality Confirmed After Wednesday Morning Accident

On Wednesday, August 4,  at approximately 7:10 a.m., the Windsor Police Department responded to a report of a traffic crash a half a mile south of Highway 392 on Colorado Boulevard/County Road 13.

Following preliminary investigation, it was determined that a motorcycle rider was traveling northbound when the rider attempted to pass another vehicle traveling in the same direction. Upon doing so, the motorcycle rider collided head-on with another vehicle traveling southbound and was ejected.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other motorists sustained significant injures.

Due to the investigation, the roadway was closed for several hours. The Weld County Coroner assisted with the investigation and will release further details regarding the identity of the deceased.
