In honor and remembrance of military personnel laid to rest in Windsor’s Lakeview Cemetery and elsewhere, American Legion Post 109 will host a Memorial Day ceremony, 9 a.m., Monday, May 31, weather permitting. Lakeview Cemetery is located at 32815 St. Hwy. 257.
The ceremony will include comments and the placement of the memorial wreath by the American Legion, remarks from Mayor Paul Rennemeyer, and participation from local Windsor Boy Scouts.
According to memorial service event organizer and Legion Vice Commander Kevin Scheuerman, “It’s important that we take time to honor the service members who went before us and protected our freedom.”
American Legion Post 109 is located at 624 Ash Street and is open to the public. More information can be found on their Facebook page at facebook.com/AmericanLegionWindsor109.
