Windsor Police Participate in No Shave November to Support Special Olympics Athletes

Members of the Windsor Police Department might seem less shaven or they might don blue streaked hair this month. That’s because it’s No Shave November, a month dedicated to supporting more than 15,500 Colorado Special Olympic athletes. In addition to growing a beard or sporting a blue hair streak, supporting the No Shave November fundraiser involves asking community members to consider making a $50 tax deductible donation to the Colorado Special Olympics through the Windsor Police Department.

To make a donation and participate, residents are asked to contact Sergeant Robert Shainline at or by phone at 970-674-6438. All proceeds go to help Special Olympics athletes.

Rumors on Main Street, a local Windsor full service salon located at 612 Main St., has partnered with the Windsor Police Department and is offering free thin blue line clip-ons or discounted color service with proof of participation in the fundraiser.

According to Shainline, “This event is open to the public and Team Windsor Police would love community support. Fun photos will be strongly encouraged!”
