Windsor Police Arrest Suspect Involved in Hotel Shooting, Investigation Continues

A suspect has been arrested for involvement in an early morning shooting at a Windsor, Colorado, hotel. The suspect, identified as 48-year old Johnny Torres, of Casper, Wyoming, was involved in a disturbance with a male victim who was transported to a local hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. 

Torres is being charged with the following: Assault in the first degree – Class 3 Felony; Menacing – Class 5 Felony; Possession of weapons by previous offender – Class 5 Felony; Reckless endangerment – Class 3 Misdemeanor.

Charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.

This incident remains under investigation.  Anyone with information who has not already spoken with police, is asked to call Detective John Grashorn at 970-674-6445.
