Windsor Youth Participate, Advance to State Round of Denver Nuggets Skills Challenge

2020 Denver Nuggets Skills Challenge

The Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture Department hosted the annual Denver Nuggets Basketball Skills Challenge Sectional on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St.

Nearly 35 area kids participated in the event, from five different sectionals, including Fort Morgan, Greeley, Holyoke, Kersey, and Windsor. Eight winners (including four from Windsor), earned first-place honors and advanced to the state competition in Denver.

Winners of the sectional round compete at the state competition in Denver (competition site and time TBD), plus the opportunity in attending the Nuggets game vs. Sacramento Kings on Saturday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m.

The Denver Nuggets Basketball Skills Challenge is a basketball competition that allows youth to showcase their talents in dribbling, passing and shooting. The Skills Challenge is a program of the Colorado Parks & Recreation Association and the Denver Nuggets.
