Windsor residents are invited to enjoy coffee and discuss their questions, concerns and ideas with Mayor Kristie Melendez during a monthly Coffee with the Mayor event. The event is held every third Saturday of the month from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at various locations and coffee is provided for participants.
On Saturday, October 19, from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., Streets Supervisor Brian Rowe joins Melendez to discuss all things streets at the Safeway Starbucks, 1535 Main St. As a member of the town’s public works team, Rowe is often among the town’s first responders during times of crisis. However, his typical day-to-day work involves supervising street maintenance operations which include street sweeping and snow plowing.
The theme for the 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. meeting on Saturday, November 16, is the town’s Transportation Master Plan. Planning Director Scott Ballstadt will discuss the master planning process and additional attempts to collect public input in late November and early December. The November Coffee with the Mayor event is scheduled take place at Coffee House 29, 1039 Main St., Suite K.
For the final Coffee with the Mayor event of 2019, Melendez will be joined by members of the town’s finance team to discuss major town projects and funding in 2020. The event will take place on Saturday, December 21, 7:30 to 9:00 a.m., at Señor Jalapeños, 1039 Main St.
