Emergency Preparedness

Public safety it the top priority of Windsor’s Emergency Manager. During winter months, residents are encouraged to prepare for a potential future winter storms and power outages. This page will be updated with information when the Town of Windsor has to respond to emergencies.

A potential emergency happened on Dec. 22, when temperatures were sub-zero and a local power company experienced a service outage which impacted several Windsor households. Should this happen again for an extended period of time during extreme weather, a warming shelter will be opened at the Community Recreation Center, 250 N. 11th St., for impacted residents.
