The Roadway Classification Map depicts the existing and future street classifications of the Town's Growth Management Area's transportation network. The comprehensive roadway classification plan was produced after extensive long range planning, and is integral to the future growth of the area. The main function of the Roadway Classification Map is to identify functional street classifications and to integrate the planned transportation network so that it functions efficiently within planned land uses.
The Town's Growth Management Area (GMA) includes both rural and urban areas and, thus, the Town has defined minimum roadway cross-section standards that are appropriate for each area type. As the GMA develops, it is important that these minimum standards be incorporated into development plans in order to fulfill the Towns vision for the GMA.
Note: Cross Section are currently being revised to match current street specifications. Old sections can be found here: Roadway Cross-Sections (PDF)
