2018 National Walk & Bike to School Event


Students throughout the Town of Windsor are invited to participate in the 22nd annual National Walk & Bike to School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 10. The 2018 fall event boasts over 4,500 schools registered across the country. Although the nationwide event has a walking focus, local students are encouraged to walk or bike, depending on their preference.

Tozer, Mountain View, Skyview and Grandview Elementary will each have an educational table set up with opportunities for local Walk & Bike to School Day participants to receive a giveaway. Tozer, Mountain View and Skyview offer group rides.

Groups for Tozer and Mountain View will meet at 7:20 a.m. at the following locations: Eastman & 3rd, NE Corner of Main Park, 1st and Garden. Another group for Tozer and Mountain View will meet at 7:00 a.m. at 7th and New Liberty.

Sky View has a group meeting at 12th and Walnut at 7:00 a.m. with a stop at Windsor West Park at 7:10 a.m. that will head to the school. 

Grandview will have tables set up at the school for families to join together at once they arrive at the school.   

2019 Family Bike Nights


Dates for 2019 Family Bike Nights will be announced in the spring of 2019. During Family Bike Nights, families can meet with like-minded bicycling enthusiasts for a guided ride through Windsor. Participants have the opportunity to join this group ride, win prizes and provide feedback on existing routes. Rides are intended for participants of all skill levels.

Date & Time to be Announced
Bike to Oktoberfest! Meet the group at Eastman Park for a casual ride around town that ends up at Boardwalk Park. Before the ride, volunteers provide proper bike care to ensure an relaxing ride. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
