See the Poudre Trail from a new perspective — take a ride with a Poudre Heritage Alliance Heritage Culturalist and learn about the history of the area from the perspective of the Poudre River along the Poudre River Trails. Riders should be comfortable on a bicycle. Children 12 and up may participate with an adult. Make sure your bike is in good working order; helmets are required. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 20 riders.

2019 Family Bike Nights

Dates for 2019 Family Bike Nights will be announced in the spring of 2019. During Family Bike Nights, families can meet with like-minded bicycling enthusiasts for a guided ride through Windsor. Participants have the opportunity to join this group ride, win prizes and provide feedback on existing routes. Rides are intended for participants of all skill levels.

Bike to Oktoberfest! Meet the group at Eastman Park for a casual ride around town that ends up at Boardwalk Park. Before the ride, volunteers provide proper bike care to ensure an relaxing ride. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

2019 National Walk & Bike to School Event


Students throughout the Town of Windsor are invited to participate in the annual National Walk & Bike to School Day on May 8, 2019, and again in October. The 2019 spring event boasted over 4,500 schools registered across the country. Although the nationwide event has a walking focus, local students are encouraged to walk or bike, depending on their preference. The purpose of Walk & Bike to School Day is to inspire neighborhoods and communities to celebrate safety, health and a sense of community by gathering together and walking or biking to school.

Bike to Work Day

Most of the country celebrates Bike to Work Day (BTWD) in May, but due to Colorado’s unpredictable weather, the state legislature declared June as Colorado Bike Month, with the fourth Wednesday o

f the month being Bike to Work Day. So leave the car at home and enjoy a bike ride to work on Wednesday, June 26. A breakfast station will be provided for anyone riding their bike to work. The station will be open from 6:30-8 a.m.  Make sure you tag yourself on social media with #BikeWindsor.
