Municipal Court

The Town’s Municipal Court has jurisdiction over matters arising under the Home Rule Charter and the Town’s Ordinances. As provided under the Home Rule Charter, the Municipal Judge is appointed by the Town Board. The Honorable Teresa Ablao serves as the Town’s Municipal Court Judge.

If paid before 5pm the day before your court date, all traffic tickets (up to 6 point violations) will automatically be reduced by 2 points.     

Beginning in October 2020, payments must be received the end of day the day prior to your scheduled court appearance in order to have your traffic ticket violation reduced by 2 points. 

The Town of Windsor is taking appropriate measures to ensure the health and well-being of its employees and residents. To that end, the Windsor Municipal Court is observing the following protocol:
  • Court will be held on the 3rd floor of Town Hall.  Please enter through the North or South entrance doors and proceed to the 1st floor. 
  • Please check in at the Customer Service desk on the 1st floor prior to going to the 3rd floor for court.
  • No backpacks, large bags, or weapons are allowed in the building.

Payments

There are several ways you can pay a Municipal Court ticket. 

Payments can be made over the phone by contacting the Court Clerk during business hours, generally Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, excluding holidays. The Court Clerk can be reached by calling 970-674-2421. Visa, Master Card, and Discover are accepted over the phone. All over the phone credit card transactions will assess a 4% convenience fee.

Or, payment for municipal tickets can be mailed to: Windsor Municipal Court 301 Walnut St. Windsor, CO 80550. Please include your citation information with your payment.  

Payments can also be placed in the black security drop box located on the west side of Town Hall, 301 Walnut Street. 

When administrative offices at Town Hall are open, payment can be made in person, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, holidays excluded. The Town of Windsor accepts cash, card, check or money order. All credit card transactions assess a 4% convenience fee.

For County tickets (Weld or Larimer) issued by a Windsor Police Officer, please refer to the back of your ticket for payment instructions.
