Economic Development

The Economic Development Department is passionate about the Town of Windsor and all it has to offer residents, entrepreneurs and established business owners. With 13 business parks, three commercial centers and over 7,000 acres ready for development, Windsor’s infrastructure can support industries of various types and sizes. Its location provides convenient access to transportation, both on the ground and in the air.

The Town of Windsor is located along the I-25 corridor with quick access to Denver International Airport, three regional airports and the Great Western Railway. The Town of Windsor is proud to consistently be named one of the safest communities in Colorado, and it’s often ranked as one of the best places to raise a family or retire. Windsor residents are involved, aware and active. They are eager to ask questions and make a difference in their hometown. The town is dynamic, as described in the March 2019 edition of Business in Focus (PDF) magazine.

The Town of Windsor Department of Economic Development serves as an advocate between the town board and local industry and works with the goal to expand local employment, retail and service opportunities for businesses and residents.

The Department of Economic Development is committed to:
  • Recruit and market new businesses to enhance the local economy and provide residents with a diversity of high-quality products and services
  • Create business development programs to support, retain and expand industry
  • Encourage positive community relations and advocate for local businesses
