The Planning Department oversees development and annexation proposals, building permits, and zoning classification.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining a Comprehensive Plan
- Implementing the provisions of the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances
- Studying and recommending amendments to the Zoning Maps
- Recommending appropriate zoning classifications for all annexations
- Building permit administration
- Annexations, Master Plans, Subdivision Plats, and Site Plan Reviews
- Zoning, Rezoning, and Conditional Use Grants
- Building Permits, Sign Permits, and Home Occupation Registrations
- Mapping and Addressing Services
