  1. Garden Workshop: Vegetable Picking

    August 16, 2017, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Treasure Island Demonstration Garden

Weld County Master Gardener Dave Unrein will go over all the details on when to pick vegetables, especially peppers and plants that have limited changes in appearance during the growing cycle. The Treasure Island Demonstration Garden features hundreds of plants that flourish in Windsor and is open to the public. Volunteers maintain the garden on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon, during the growing season. No experience is necessary, however interested volunteers are asked to attend a training session at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, and 16, at the Treasure Island Demonstration Garden. The garden is open for private group or club tours and workshops. For more information, call the volunteers at 303-726-7634.
