The Town of Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture Department and the Clearview Library District will unveil the new StoryWalk project from 9-10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, at Eastman Park.
StoryWalk is an interactive program that engages children with reading and the outdoors at the same time. Pages from a children’s book are installed along an outdoor path. Children progress through the book while they walk along the trail.
Clearview Library District is creating a permanent StoryWalk around the Eastman Park pond for the community, titled StoryWalk Clearview.
StoryWalk Clearview is being created through a partnership between the Clearview Library District, local Boy Scout Evan Reynolds of Windsor Troop 88, the Cub Scouts of Windsor Pack 199, and the Town of Windsor.
Reynolds is building the StoryWalk displays as an Eagle Scout service project. He will team up with the cub scouts to install the displays on August 26.
The program is free and open to the public for all ages. Donuts and coffee will be provided.
Eastman Park is located at 7025 Eastman Park Drive.
