Windsor to Host Rockies Skills Challenge June 24

The Town of Windsor will host the Rockies Skills Challenge — a fun competition in running, batting and throwing — at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Chimney Park Field.

The challenge is open to boys and girls, ages 6-13, and will include a skills competition in base running, batting off of a tee, and throwing for distance and accuracy.

Registration will take place the day of the event from 8-9 a.m.

The top boy and girl in each division will advance to a sectional competition in July. Sectional winners will advance to the State Championships at All Star Park in August.

A copy of the participant’s birth certificate will be needed for winners.

The event is co-sponsored by the Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Parks and Recreation Association.
