The Windsor Art & Heritage Center will host the interactive traveling exhibit, “Native American Experience: A Peek Into the Past,” June 15 through September 3.
The interactive exhibit is geared toward children, allowing them to learn about the daily life of Plains Indians. Through the “Native American Experience,” children will simulate cooking fresh trout over a fire, and will experience what it was like to live in a tipi, grind corn, and beat an elk skin drum.
The exhibit is free and open to the public from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 4 p.m. Fridays through Sundays at the Art & Heritage Center, 116 5th Street.
